Bicknoller, Somerset. House sit #1

I’m having a catch up with the blog day…..but I’ve nearly run out of words! So this blog is going to be mainly photos…..of the gorgeous village of Bicknoller! I sometimes think I’m in Heaven…it’s so beautiful. I’m so thankful I have been given this house sit….it’s wonderful! I’ll tell you more about my very well behaved clients another time….today it’s the village! The dogs and I walk around it every day so I have got to explore most parts of it by now.

I thought they made these picturesque villages up for films, books and television…..but they are for real! Beautiful!
I had the Sunday roast at the Bicknoller Inn, after I’d attended the 11am family service in the old church. The Bell ringers are about to start their weekly practise as I write and the bells rang out on Sunday to tell us church was about to start. The little church was quite full too, with a wide age range of people, and friendly ones at that. They were all fascinated to know I was house sitting for their Vicar! Oh, didn’t I tell you that? I’m living in the Rectory…but I’ll leave the details for another blog!
PS: the little blue car is my hire car for two weeks…his name is Hugo! (See number plate! )
